Boat events in the low season

Published on 7 September 2023 at 18:06

The month September is just around the corner, and it is going to be full of events!

First the SailGP will take place in the bay of Saint-Tropez, closely followed by the Cannes Yachting Festival in the old and new port of Cannes. Towards the end of September is the Monaco Yacht Show scheduled and overlapped by the old and familiar Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

Plenty of reasons to come to the Côte d’Azur in September and hit the water!

Sail GP

The SailGP is an international sailing competition that features high performance F50 foiling catamarans, where teams compete across a season of multiple grands prix around the world, comparable to the Formula 1.

With top speeds up to 100 kilometers per hour, set by the French SailGP team just last year, it is very impressive to watch this from the (water) sideline by boat!

  • The first race day of the SailGP starts on Saturday the 9th at 13.30 p.m. with three races.
  • The second race day will take place on Sunday the 10th at 13.30 p.m. with two races followed by the grand finale!

Cannes Yachting Festival

The iconic Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe’s biggest boat show with more than 600 exhibitors and at least 650 boats!

Together with our partners Vanquish Yachts and Orange Yachting, we will be present in the Vieux Port at stand number QSP020 Vanquish Yachts and stand number QSP 160 Orange Yachting. Come and visit us from 12-17 September!

Monaco Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show takes place in Port Hercule from 27-30 September. This show is more focused on superyachts but dayboats are most definitely present as well.

Lalmy Care will be present! Will we see you there?

Voiles de Saint-Tropez

The Voiles de Saint-Tropez can be described as the cherry on the pie of the entire season. It will be a full six days of sailing with:

  • the first sailing day on the 2nd of October of the Modern Yachts race.
  • From the 3rd till the 7th every day both modern and classic yachts will be racing!
  • On the 8th, the final day of the Voiles, there will be a closing party organized from 18.30 – 21.00 p.m. with live music in the Village des Voiles!

As the best way of watching the Voiles is of course from the water, we will organize a day with some of the best locations along the route of the modern and classic sailing yachts! Interested? Let us know!
